Here at Equistarre Horsemanship we try to stay off the beaten path... We want to provide new and exciting experiences with your horse that you can find only in a few places! We encourage fun, we encourage play, and we encourage you to be creative and do something unique with your horse! We also want to stay true to our namesake! HORSEMANSHIP! We encourage education, we encourage learning, and we encourage safety with your horse!

Fall Weekend Getaway Clinic
September 29th and 30th

Come join us for our second weekend getaway clinic! Our last clinic was such a huge success that everyone can't wait to come back and learn more! Join us and learn how to use elements of dressage and horsemanship to communicate and bond with your horse as we use their body (and yours) to help with understanding of the aids! Challenge yourself and your equine partner to learn new movements and exercises to build confidence and communication for horse and rider!
The clinic is $250 for both Saturday and Sunday (2, 3 hour sessions each day for a total of 12 hours of saddle time)!
We can't wait to enjoy some cooler weather with everyone!
Morning Sessions are 10am-1pm
Lunch 1-230pm
Afternoon Sessions are 230-530pm
Auditors. $25 per day

Limited Overnight Housing Available for your horse at $25 per night. You will need to bring your own shavings, feed, and hay.

We do offer overnight stay/camping with generators but we do not have hookups or showers yet!
There will be a $25 grounds fee added to help keep our facility beautiful!
Please make sure you have an Equistarre Liability Release Form and your negative coggins when you come to the clinic.

Patrick King the "Classical Cowboy" combines Vaquero and classical Dressage to provide a new fun way of learning with is unique insight, humor, and support. He draws his knowledge from being one of the few people to study with lengendary horseman Ray Hunt plus the over 4000 horses he has ridden and trained. Even if you are not a dressage nazi Patrick is great at helping you become more aware of your body and how it influences your horses movements! The simplest things can change your horses way of going for good or bad. Is your horse sticky or lazy, does he drop his shoulder, lack bend, or swing her hips out? Most of these common problems can be helped just by the rider becoming more aware of how they sit and how they ask for certain maneuvers. Or maybe you are interested in working with the Garrocha? Patrick is an excellent and fun teacher who conveys these simple changes efficiently and so they are easy to understand. Come and join us and let him rock your horsey world!
What to expect for 2018!

This year our focus is going to be improving your horse's gaits! Learn how to better balance your horse through the transitions! And be able to perfectly understand and identify each specific body movement during your lateral work. You must be able to walk trot and canter and identify your leads to participate in this clinic! We will offer private sessions for beginners on Monday the 4th!

Pricing for the All Day Clinic and Private Sessions:
All inclusive including all classes plus help at the end of each day to help troubleshoot any weak spots or confidence issues for you or your horse or just to go over something you've learned that day. $450
1 hour Private Lessons. $125
Auditors. $35 per day or $90 for all 3 days!

Get out your Costumes and dress up your horses and come have some fun with your family and your ponies! Our 2nd annual Fall Fun Show is here!!!
Events start with the costume contest at 12 pm followed by games at 1 pm
Other fun events include:

4) toilet paper challenge
5) musical horses
6) ride a buck
7) magazine race
8) steady eddy
9) flag race
10) basketweave
Cost is $5 per event and $15 for the costume contest!

Happy to have the thousand pounds of hair your horse gained over the winter gone!? We know the feeling! Let's celebrate the beautiful warmer weather with our first annual No More Fur Fun Show! Be prepared for some minor competition and some major fun!!! Classes will be annouced one month from the show date but lookout there may be a real trail competition cowboy style!!! We will also be hosting a beauty contest for you and your horse!!! (Just for fun guys!!!)

Schools out! What are your kids going to do while you are at work? Make a mess at home? Torture the dog? Cause you stress and worry that your home will be a pile of rubble when you return? Let them come to Equistarre Horsemanship where they can learn all sorts of horsey related things and of course most importantly responsibility in a safe environment and have fun while they are at it!
Micheal is a second generation Lyons horseman son of John Lyons and brother of Josh Lyons. As part of the Lyons' legacy Micheal would now like to share his wealth of knowledge with other riders and equestrians. Although he has a strong background in reining he also is a certified equine massage practitioner. Personally he is by far one of the best clinicians and instrutors I have had the pleasure of riding with. No matter what you would like to work on with your horse, he can help. And he WANTS to help.
