Testing Your Knowledge and Your Abilities
Going to shows and competing against other people and other barns is not only fun but a good way to test yourself and what you have learned. Although at Equistarre Horsemanship ribbons and placing are not as important as progress with your horse. Showing your horse allows you to bond with your horse on another level that is rarely achieved by staying at the barn and never taking risks. Showing also creates an avenue for goals and direction to work towards. Mastering one or multiple events only furthers communitcation with your horse. The most important is the sense of accomplishment when goals are met. Pride is not a bad thing when it is earned and pride in yourself and your horse that is developed by hard work, time, dedication to one another and that beautiful relationship created between human and horse.
Equistarre Show Team
We are not a competitive team who back stabs and wants to beat their fellow team mates but a family that encourages each other and grows stronger with each outing and each lesson. We all work together to achieve individual as well as team goals for ourselves and our horses. We compete in most disciplines ranging from the stock type events at local shows to dressage, cowboy trail competitions, and even endurance. Team practices are arranged during the week at the convenience of everyone involved.
A trainers fee is applied each show day of $40 per rider plus fuel expenses.
